Ford Fusion Reviews: How does the 2020 Ford Fusion perform?

The new Ford Fusion carries various features over from the 2019 Ford Fusion, although 2019's V6 sport trim was dropped for the 2020 release. The new Ford Fusion comes in four trim levels.

The S trim level uses a 2.5-liter inline-4 cylinder engine that gets 175 horsepower. Its MPG is 21/31/25 within city limits, in the highway, and in combined cycles. With a 4.2-inch touchscreen, standard Front Wheel Drive, and six-speed automatic transmission, the base trim is the perfect pocket-friendly car.

The SE and SEL trim levels let you choose between a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine that gives you 181 horsepower and a hybrid powertrain that utilizes a 2.0-liter Atkinson cycle four-cylinder engine combined with an electric motor that gives you 188 horsepower. For an additional $650, you also get adaptive cruise control together with satellite navigation. The SYNC-3 infotainment system, which was optional on the S trim, is standard on the others. With FWD, the SE and SEL trims give you an MPG of 23/34/27. The Hybrid version gets 43/49/41.

The Titanium trim level is equipped with a 2-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that gives you 245 horsepower. The Fusion Energi hybrid is only available with the Titanium trim and comes with a 9.0 kWh battery that gives you up to 26 miles if you just use the battery. The Titanium trim has an MPG of 21/31/25.

All-wheel drive is available with models that use the 2-liter engine. With AWD, your MPG becomes 20/29/23. The 2020 Ford Fusion comes with safety features such as automatic emergency braking, combined with pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, and automatic high beam headlights. The Sync 3 Infotainment System uses a voice interface and gives you an 8-inch touchscreen that is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also comes with a six-speaker audio system, satellite radio, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. You can also opt for an 11-speaker audio system on the SEL trim, and an even more powerful audio system from Sony on the Titanium trim. Starting from the SE trim, you can opt for the Waze navigation system that runs on your smartphone's data.

The 2020 Ford Fusion also comes with Ford's MyKey feature, a seat-belt reminder, and lets you set the speed and volume limits on your car. With multiple features and great performance, this car from Ford is a solid contender for anyone looking for a good car.
