Drivers can expect more than a dozen tech and comfort boost, along with many standard features, engineering, and design updates. Ford’s new tech specs are aimed at making driving comfortable while giving the driver more confidence.

Driving will feel more relaxed and adventurous with following new tech specs in the 2020 Ford Explorer:

Ford Co-Pilot360™

This tech is a shining star on the new Ford model. Its Active Park feature is a standard on all Platinum models. This exclusive feature enables drivers to park in a perpendicular or parallel spot by merely pressing a button. They don’t have to touch the gear shifter, steering wheel brake pedal or gas pedal. The Ford Co-Pilot360™ will also park in the space by itself!

The Ford Co-Pilot360™ also includes a whole collection of driver-assist tech specs such as:

  • Pedestrian Detection
  • Pre-collision Assist with emergency braking
  • Forward collision warning
  • Dynamic brake support
  • Lane-Keeping System
  • Evasive Steering Assist
  • Blind Spot Information System

Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control

This tech spec is another first for Ford. Included with Speed Sign Recognition technology, this feature will automatically reduce your vehicle’s speed when it detects the traffic ahead.

This system will also keep your Explorer centered in its lane. With this tech, your vehicle can make a complete start or stop and even return to the set speed once the traffic gets going again.

The Explorer is equipped with cameras that can read speed signs. Working in conjunction with the vehicle’s navigation system, it can make adjustments to cruise control settings.

Terrain Management System

Increase your safety and adventure factor with the 2020 Ford Explorer’s Terrain Management System. This feature includes seven selectable drive modes such as sport, train, eco, deep snow, slippery, etc. These are readily controllable by the driver through a center console.

The vehicle has a 10.1-inch touchscreen that not only displays vehicle information such as gas levels and speed but also uses animated 3D graphics to change the details depending on the selectable drive mode. Make your driving experience comfortable, daring, and thrilling with the all-new 2020 Ford Explorer.
